there are two points which are particularly famous for sunrise and sunset. Lebur chor is perfect for
enjoying sunset and Kauar Chor is perfect for sunrise.
ENVIRONMEMT
Kuakata is truly a virgin beach-a sanctuary for migratory winter birds, a series of coconut trees, sandy
beach of blue Bay, a feast for the eye. Forest, boats plying in the Bay of Bengal with colourful sails,
fishing, towering cliffs, surfing waves everything here touches every visitor’s heart. The unique customs
and costumes of the ‘Rakhyne’ tribal families and Buddhist Temple of about hundred years old indicate
the ancient tradition and cultural heritage, which are objects of great pleasure Kuakata is the place of
pilgrimage of the Hindus and Buddhist communities.
FOODS :
The nicer hotels all have in-house restaurants, but many people eat at the roadside shacks on the
approach road to the beach. Most are open from around 7am to 10pm. As you’d expect, fish and other
marine goodies are the order of the day, with most places serving a selection of curried or fried catches of
the day, usually dished up with rice and a vegetable curry. Expect to pay around Tk 120 for a meal.
Breakfast (Tk 40) tends to be fresh paratha, dhal and vegetable curry. Out on the beach, cart-pushing
snack vendors serve chaat (spicy snacks) and freshly roasted nuts, along with tea in minuscule cups.
